About ESAC

A college is much more than a building and its administration, it's the faculty, the students, and their interactions. The Engineering Student Advisory Council (ESAC) at the University of Florida recognizes this and works to better the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering (HWCOE).

Created by Provost Angela Lindner during her term as Associate Dean, ESAC consists of 22 members representing 12 different engineering disciplines in the HWCOE. We represent the interests and issues of the undergraduate student population, and we work with the Deans and Department Heads to improve the Engineering experience at UF. Meet our members.

To do this, we throw several events throughout the year with the aim of bettering students and gathering feedback for the HWCOE. Notable events include E-Day, a networking event where students can meet recruiters and develop their professional development skills before Career Fair, and SWOT, an event where we collect information from students about the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the HWCOE. Check out our events.

Have anything to say about the HWCOE or just want to reach out to us? You can send us feedback about the college and send us any questions.
